AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Initial & Renewal (Need BLS too? We add BLS for FREE!)
Service Description
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is designed to highlight the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. Airway management and related pharmacology are also covered. Basic ECG rhythm identification is reviewed as it pertains to ACLS algorithms and treatment. Skills are taught in group sessions and small breakout sessions that include testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented. The course includes simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands-on participation through learning stations where students practice essential skills individually, as part of a team, and as team leader. Successful completion of the course results in the issuance of the American Heart Association ACLS Provider eCard evidencing this accomplishment. To access the precourse work materials, go to https://elearning.heart.org/course/424 to complete this requirement. It is REQUIRED to complete the "ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment and Precourse Work" through eLearning.heart.org. You must complete the pretest with a score of 70% or better, and you are allowed to retake the test as many times as necessary to achieve a passing score. The certificate of completion for the precourse work needs to be sent to us prior to attending the course, as well as a copy of your exam score, and copy of your current BLS Provider Card. Please purchase your Provider Manual which is REQUIRED to come to class: (hardcover) https://shopcpr.heart.org/acls-provider-manual (eBook) https://shopcpr.heart.org/acls-provider-manual-ebook
